DDC holds public darbar at Manasbal GANDERBAL, DECEMBER 26: District Development Commissioner, Dr. Piyush Singla today convened an interaction meet with the newly elected Panches and Sarpanches of the block Safapora Ganderbal at Manasbal to get feedback about issues of public importance in the area. The interaction meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner N.A Baba, Assistant Commissioner Development Masrat Hashim, BDO Safapora, Tehsildar Lar, EXN R&B/PHE/PDD, CEO, DIO and other concerned officers.
Detailed discussions were held on various issues like, blacktopping and maintenance of roads removal of encroachment, addition of courses in Hr. Sec. School, augmentation of Water Supply, construction of BDO office, tube well/ bore well for irrigation facility, computer lab for Middle School, Safapora stone quarries issue and other public importance issues were disused in brief.
The DDC, while replying the issues raised, underlined the role of Panches/Sarpanches in ensuring a proactive and participative administration, sought their cooperation in dealing with vital issues of public importance. He assured them all administrative support to ensure implementation of developmental projects in their respective wards besides all the development issues raised during the meeting would be addressed at the earliest.
While addressing the meeting, DDC urged them to come up with suggestions to improve the development scenario in their respective wards to maintain a good rapport between the administration and the public and urged them to work with dedication to improve the living standards of the people living in rural areas.
On the occasion, ADDC informed that the government is soon going to release funds for the blocks for taking up various developmental projects besides 4 days training programs for both Panches and Sarpanches will be held in the first week of January wherein they will be given awareness about various schemes of the government besides informing them about the powers vested in the institution.
