J&K Ghar Wapsi Housing Scheme
About this housing scheme
The J&K Ghar Wapsi Housing Scheme provides housing assistance to Kashmiri migrant families returning to J&K and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) families in Jammu & Kashmir by combining PM Awas Yojana (Gramin/Urban) central assistance with J&K state government’s supplemental housing grant. Kashmiri Pandit migrants and other displaced families are given priority. Under PMAY-G, beneficiaries get up to ₹1.3 lakh (plains) or ₹1.5 lakh (hilly/difficult areas) with additional state top-up for J&K residents.
